Pardon the lack of an update but there’s been a lot going on, not least of which is the fact the car had to go into the garage because of a water leak. Now I know why it was steaming up last Christmas. I did ask them to check for the problem last service, in May ‘04, but nothing was found then.
In any case they found it, sealed it and replaced the carpets in the footwells. However, much to my dismay, they also managed to disable the Turbocharger on the car too. So I had to go in again yesterday to ask them, “what’s up here?”. Thankfully they found that when replacing some part or other they had managed to shear off a plug that’s used in the turbocharger and therefore it wasn’t there at all. The car is slow accelerating without one and makes you glad it is there! All fixed now though.
